spring break diary: day two

A crisp but clear day, we started with steaming bowls of oatmeal topped with raisins, apples, cinnamon and walnuts in varying degrees. Then it was off to the fire department to deliver the cookies and handmade card where the boys were treated to fire helmets, stickers and temporary tattoos!

We continued walking/scootering to the library for new books and then off to the play gym where I swear there were millions of children. Another injury that worried me more than it did him (it seems to be the theme of this break) and then home for lunch and nap for the little.

The elder and I made some animals (which are really lovely but a little too quick to put together) and now it’s a bit of quiet time for us all. Phew! Still have the whole afternoon and evening to get through. Thankfully, we have a slow cooker working on pea soup for dinner and a trip to the post office to pick up a birthday package for the elder in the plan.
