Gingerbread and shortbread cookies are done. I’ve always used my grandma’s shortbread recipe and it seems to get better every year. This year, I used a Martha recipe for gingerbread. Super easy and tasty. The addition of pepper really added to the flavour. We used currants and sprinkles to keep the decorations simple and not too sweet.
We visited this guy up at Grouse Mountain last weekend. It was super cold but lots of fun. Ice skating on a winter pond and lots of snowy hills to tumble down.
