I spent the day in a lovely garden with the boys. It was a good day with just the right amount of food, rambunctious energy and rest.

I’ve never seen so many dragonflies in one place. I learned that they are as old as dinosaurs.

On an outing last weekend we visited an old Fort where they recreate pioneer life, complete with musket firing, dug-out canoes and nineteenth century tools.

We especially enjoyed panning for gold.
